PRI Technical Project Manager

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to serve as a lead consultant and project coordinator for projects. A bridge between our Client Strategy and Creative teams, the Digital Project Manager will handle tasking, day-to-day communication, and run projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities include:

Project/Practice Management

  • Ability to think critically, analyze, and document business problems to assist the project team in defining a project approach that best suits our clients’ needs
  • Creating and managing business requirements and technical specifications, as necessary to define project scope and manage the iterative nature of digital projects
  • Creating and executing project plans, and revising them as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Ability to define resource needs, then communicate and collaborate those project needs to other project managers to determine resource assignments across all active projects
  • Ability to identify risks and resolve them pro-actively with consideration for short and long term project impact
  • Managing day-to-day operational aspects of assigned projects and scope
  • Carefully reviewing and contributing to deliverables prepared by team before passing to client
  • Ability to document project meetings, including stakeholder or user interviews
  • Ability to facilitate user research using active and passive research methods
  • Manage cross-functional team responsible for pilot deliverables

Client Management

  • Managing day-to-day client interaction
  • Setting and managing client expectations
  • Identifying needs and evaluating alternative solutions
  • Building a knowledge base of each client's business, organization, and objectives
  • Seeking opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships
  • Ensuring the project team confirms the direction of its approach and delivers on its stated promises
  • Serves as the first point of contact for clients with new website/marketing projects as well as websites/projects in maintenance and/or maintenance requests.

Project Accounting

  • Tracking and managing team hours, by project, on a weekly basis
  • Managing project budgets & expenses

Communication

  • Facilitating team and client meetings
  • Preparing regular status reports and leading status meetings with clients
  • Keeping project teams well-informed
  • Delivering engaging, informative, well-organized presentations as needed
  • Understanding how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
  • Resolving and/or escalating issues in a timely fashion

Desired Skills:

  • Hyper-organized, detail-oriented, and able to take ownership of projects to ensure quality and client satisfaction
  • Understand the web development process, from discovery to launch
  • Basic programming skills and able to do light coding where necessary (HTML, CSS, PHP)
  • Experience with web analytics and optimization tools (Google Analytics, Optimizely, Google Website Optimizer)
  • Able to handle multiple simultaneous deadlines
  • Excellent “expectations management” skills
  • Can simultaneously execute towards the big picture and identify the nitty-gritty steps required
  • Experienced project manager and lover of project management tools--Teamwork a plus
  • Understand the basics of online marketing, SEO, and social media
  • An eye for good UI/UX design even though you’re not a designer
  • Love technology and easily adapt to new tools
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years experience at an interactive or digital agency or relevant experience
  • Other duties as directed or required.
