Currently, both commercial and government organizations are facing obstacles in today's rapidly changing net-centric landscape, making cybersecurity a chief necessity.

SIXGEN would like to add an ambitious, dedicated, and self-motivated Senior Infrastructure Engineer to our team.

Duties Include:

  • Super Admin of SIXGEN domain, email, systems, etc.
    • Responsible for onboarding/offboarding employees into Google Workspace and O365
    • Perform administrative tasks related to Google Workspace to include email diagnostics, log searches, phishing investigations, etc
    • Maintain and administer most internal SIXGEN services to include the CRM, VPN, DNS, Teleport, Gitlab, etc
    • Maintain the compute cluster and NAS that run internal services
    • Proficient with virtualization and container technologies including Proxmox, Docker, and Nomad/Consul or Kubernetes
    • Proficient in network management using Ubiquiti products and software
  • Conduct research into potential cyber issues internal to SIXGEN
    • Monitor and investigate alerts from endpoint monitoring system for Windows, macOS, and Linux endpoints
    • Develop custom rules based on the latest threat intelligence and open source cyber security research to ensure visibility against the latest threats
  • Maintain a security monitoring system built on open source technologies (ELK/OpenDistro, Wazuh, santa/sinter, osquery, sysmon, etc)
  • Review and approve SIXGEN Cyber policies
    • Review the SIXGEN SSP, making updates and ensure products achieve CUI and CMMC compliance
    • SIXGEN SSP final authority
  • Provide technical input/guidance for government and commercial proposals
  • Manage customer relationships
    • Respond to tickets, investigate alerts, communicate with customers, schedule software upgrades
  • Assist with marketing and communications for SIXGEN

Required:

  • Must have at least 7 years experience in the IT field
  • Minimum 2 years in a leadership role
  • Linux and Containerization experience
  • Ability to obtain at least a Public Trust Clearance

Highly Desired:

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
