Join It (www.joinit.org) is searching for our first marketing hire, a Marketing Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a small but passionate team that supports organizations around the world in building and managing their communities of members.

Responsibilities

Join It (www.joinit.org) is hiring our first role in Marketing to lead all of our efforts. This role has a lot of breadth and an opportunity to work on a wide range of projects.

Here are some examples of projects that you'll work on:

Manage our Paid Marketing campaigns*: You don't have to be a Paid Marketing expert (we're certainly not ourselves) but you should be comfortable managing the basics of Google AdWords and not intimidated to make changes and track performance.

Work with our Integration Partners to execute on co-marketing campaigns*: This can range from updating our Directory Listings, supporting a co-webinar, or coming up with a creative new campaign.

Test new acquisition channels*: In addition to nurturing our existing customer acquisition channels, you'll run tests to try to find new channels.

Establish a 'MVP' of Join It's first brand:* Building Join It's brand has been organic and hasn't received a lot of attention. This role will be responsible for starting our efforts to build a mini-brand by starting with our current customer base.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has had several years experience in marketing software — preferably B2B, SaaS, or both. If you identify with the following, then this role will be a great fit for you:

Execution over strategy*: You love to execute and get things done. You think strategy is important, but it's way more fun to focus on the operations than an abstract strategy.

Done > Perfect*: You think that 'done' is better than 'perfect' and love checking items off your list.

Love to learn*: You're not intimidated by new things and love to learn something new (even if that means failing at new things until you've learned the trade secrets). We're realistic about how broad the projects of this role will be, so we don't expect you to be an expert everywhere.

Excellent communicator and writer*: Because we're a remote team who often communicates asynchronously, it's important for all teammates to be able to effectively communicate via writing.
