Our Senior UX Researcher will help uncover meaningful insights that drive product decision-making. This new role will be important in creating a smarter and more empathetic Product team. You’ll conduct and synthesize user research to deepen our understanding of customer needs and pain points. The position requires someone who can collaborate well with immediate teammates as well as with other cross-functional partners. You must be able to articulate your findings concisely to various audiences in ways that inspire next-level design commensurate with 15Five’s overarching mission.

RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Research
  • Identify research opportunities in conjunction with the research manager
  • Select appropriate research methods to turn open questions or needs into research plansExecute those plans to inform feature development
  • Conduct both qualitative and quantitative research
  • Run end-to-end research projects: plan, recruit team, facilitate, synthesize, and deliver findings
  • Use workflows, scenarios, profiles, and reports to document research findings
  • Partner with data analysts and other teammates to craft coordinated research strategies
  • Triangulate customer data from different sources to improve our knowledge and their journey
  • Articulate the goals, behaviors, and preferences of 15Five customers 
  • Translate insights into clear recommendations in partnership with Design and Product partners
  • Document and organize those findings for easy retrieval and secondary research by other team members

  • Communication and Collaboration
  • Participate in weekly design critiques and relevant squad meetings
  • Synthesize and communicate research findings in compelling and creative ways
  • Collaborate with Design, Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer teams
  • Share customer research effectively across the company to generate empathy and inspire action

REQUIREMENTS

  • 4+ years of UX research experience
  • B2B experience 
  • Strong written, verbal, and visual-storytelling skills
  • Highly collaborativeData-driven
  • Competent with a wide range of in-person and remote research methods
  • Self-directed and takes initiative 
  • Comfortable communicating with C-level executives

SAMPLE WEEK IN THE LIFE

  • Monday: Check Slack channels and prioritize weekly research, join the Product Management Huddle and then the company Boost for announcements, conduct interviews and analyze data
  • Tuesday: Check Monday priorities and reset if needed, offer research insights at the Global Design Crit, then conduct interviews, analyze data, and plan research in the afternoon
  • Wednesday: Review active research projects, then join the company Boost for announcements and group meditation, and afterwards continue with deep work from the morning
  • Thursday: Conduct a 1:1 with your manager on projects and potential roadblocks and update your week’s priorities as necessary, then continue deep work, conduct interviews, or analyze data
  • Friday:Review priorities for the day after the office breakfast and then address those items, then finish up with your 15Five and an update on Slack about research or any interesting pipeline work
