This Marketing Specialist, Customer Advocacy, will be part of our Marketing team and will be a key contributor to our customer advocacy programs and efforts in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. They will be the team’s primary point of contact for all customer stories, references, and advocacy efforts across Central and Eastern Europe, working with our Field Operations, Business Development, and Marketing colleagues to build out a pipeline of stories that meet our identified corporate and team priorities.

What You Will Be Doing:
  • Pursuing inbound customer story requests in partnership with the Field Operations and Regional Marketing teams
  • Sourcing and preparing external speakers for Elastic{ON} Tour and Regional (Field) Marketing events in the Central EMEA region. Traveling to such events will be a part of the role in order to provide in-person support for our speakers as well as to capture additional stories from attendees
  • Partnering with team and regional leadership to develop and execute on an overall plan to capture local customer content, including production of customer success stories, guest blogs, video testimonials, and webinars in their respective local language
  • Copy-editing & reviewing customer story web and collateral for production
  • Partnering with our Social Media team to promote customer reference content through our social channels
  • Acting as our primary point of contact for our reference program for the Central and Eastern EMEA region, ensuring all reps are trained on executing monthly reference nomination goals
  • Helping generate content for internal/external field operations collateral based on customer stories
  • Working with cross-functional marketing teams to assist where needed (including event preparation and production)
  • Using professional experience; applies best practice principles to deliver encouraged outcomes. Demonstrates a solid understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways. May propose changes to processes or suggest new ones.
What you Bring:
  • At least 4 years customer-facing marketing and communications experience in the B2B enterprise software space, preferably in open source, data, search or analytics
  • Ability to establish strategic level customer relationships, and deliver exceptional account-based reference acquisition, creation and promotion plans
  • Crystal clear communication skills in all forms
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, distributed and dynamic environment
  • Good understanding of content marketing, customer advocacy, demand generation, and the sales processes
  • Experience working with software customers in a variety of industries such as financial services, healthcare, technology, automotive, manufacturing, retail, and more
  • Familiarity with technology tools that support customer marketing programs and processes
  • Knowledge of a variety of sales methodologies including open source and proprietary technology and business value or solution selling
  • Excellent teamwork, organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to research and learn about a wide range of customer marketing topics
  • Attention to detail while exhibiting phenomenal creative and critical thinking
  • Efficiency and expediency under pressure while keeping a friendly and open demeanor
  • Bi-lingual in English and either German, Polish, or Russian. Spanish and/or Italian fluency would be a huge bonus!
