Twilio is growing rapidly and seeking an experienced Global Payroll M&A and Tax Manager to join our Payroll team.  The ideal candidate is someone who participates enthusiastically, works well under deadlines, multi-tasks, and solves problems, all while delivering excellent results.  The Payroll M&A Manager performs complex works involved in the integration for the payroll team including the payroll processes, payroll accounting, recording and auditing and will work closely with the other M&A teams cross functionally in HR, Accounting, Tax, and Benefits..  This position reports to the Director, Global Payroll.

Who?

Twilio is looking for an experienced Global Payroll M&A and Tax Manager, who is well rounded and will bring a personable experience to join the Accounting team. In addition, who can live the Twilio Magic.  We seek someone with:

  • Strong knowledge of full cycle payroll and accounting practices 
  • Partner with the accounting team to create and maintain a seamless payroll process from entry to the GL postings. 
  • Knowledge of running a payroll process from front to end to assist in strategy for M&A activity and integration
  • Minimum of 10-15 years Supervisory/Management and Payroll Accounting, Project Management related to payroll experience preferred 
  • Point person for all M&A related integrations and will work closely with the People Operations and HR Technical teams
  • Ability to research and understand payroll tax rules and regulations in the US and outside the US
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-growing environment where change is the norm; requires strong multi-tasking skills, and the flexibility to switch from one project to the next quickly
  • Workday payroll experience preferred
  • Must maintain total confidentiality and discretion of all employee information
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookup formulas
  • Ability to fill in for US Payroll Manager as necessary
  • Extreme attention to detail, hands-on approach, teamwork oriented
  • Strong problem-solving skills

In accordance with applicable law, the following represents Twilio's reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role if hired in Colorado. Please note that this information is provided for those hired in Colorado only, and this role is open to candidates outside of Colorado as well. 

Salary:

Denver/Boulder Metro:

Tier 4 base salary range: $82,496.00-$103,120.00

Rest of Colorado:

Tier 5 base salary range: $72,184.00-$90,230.00

Non Sales: Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.
