elastic Advanced Analytics - QA Engineer

Right now, we are looking to add a talented and mathematically minded QA Engineer to join our Machine Learning team.

Responsibilities

You will have the opportunity to work with exceptional engineers in a small and focussed QA team which is part of the machine learning team. Your primary focus will be assessing and maintaining the quality of analytical results at scale.

What you will be doing

  • Maintaining data scenario regression suite
  • Designing and implementing new strategies for assessing quality of results
  • Providing visibility of test coverage and execution rates
  • Investigating, reporting and verifying bugs in a timely manner
  • Increasing depth and breadth of test coverage
  • Collaborating with QA team; able to support other functional areas if needed
  • Collaborating with data team on approach and roadmap

What you will bring

  • 2+ years of software test experience
  • Excellent numeracy, demonstrable mathematical or statistical background
  • Excellent knowledge of QA methodologies and automation
  • Experience working with large data systems
  • Software engineering skills; Python, Java
  • Flexible, “can do” approach, able to adjust to changing priorities and willing to help out in other functional areas
  • Attentive to detail and highly organized
  • Ready to be part of a dedicated distributed team; self-motivated, can work independently and having strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Experience with the Elastic Stack is useful, but not mandatory
