About You

You have a passion for People Operations. You have 10+ years of progressive people operations experience in high growth environments and you have a passion for building and growing people teams. Software industry experience a huge plus.

You have helped scale a People Team. We are a fast growing remote company that will double in size this year. A successful applicant will have experience helping scale an organization to over 500 people.

You're a People Ops Pro - You have the ability to influence, engage, and partner closely with appropriate business partners across all levels of the organization in planning, change management and conflict resolution.

You know how to create scalable processes.  You have designed and implemented scalable, high-quality operational people programs, processes, and systems

You have strong leadership skills with the ability to foster high levels of accountability through coaching, career development, and performance management.

You know the importance of having a diverse culture. You have experience helping grow a culture within a rapidly growing organization and have helped to create flourishing and diverse communities.

You are a skilled mentor and coach. You realize the best way to grow a team is by helping them to grow themselves. You're able to effectively share your experience and provide a clear framework for growth.

You believe in being a constant learner. You have experience creating a strong learning environment within an organization including developing and implementing successful initiatives for performance management, coaching, learning and development.

You're data-driven. You have an analytical mindset and you know that you have to use data, metrics, and analytics to measure success and make better decisions.

You are a wiz at compensation and benefits - You understand the needs as a company scales and have experience managing costs while staying competitive with salary, benefits, and perks.

You're a skilled written communicator. Zapier is a 100% remote team and writing is our primary means of communication. You'll use written summaries and reports to communicate vision, strategy, plans, findings, and results to the engineering and full Zapier team.


Things You’ll Do

  • Lead the People Ops team which includes People Ops, Learning & Development, Onboarding, Culture, and Company Retreats
  • Foster and grow a high-performance organizational culture
  • Manager Business Partners to develop strategic and operational HR programs that will strengthen culture, improve performance, and enhance engagement within their teams.
  • Improve on and develop best in class People Ops process that will scale as the company grows.
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance with all employment laws
  • Develop and track key metrics to measure employee happiness, engagement, performance, and retention.
  • Roll out new programs to increase employee satisfaction and lower unwanted attrition.
  • Willing to make People Ops as open and transparent as possible.
  • Experiment: this is a startup so everything can change.
  • As part of our All Hands Support initiative, every week help customers have the best possible experience with Zapier

The Whole Package

Location: Anywhere in the U.S. or Canada

If you want to work remote, that's great. If you want to work near others, that's cool too. Our team is distributed because it lets us work with the best people. You don't have to be located in the USA either. Some team members live in the United Kingdom, Thailand, India, Nigeria, Taiwan, Guatemala, New Zealand, Australia, and more! You just need the skills and drive to succeed in this role and the ability to work from anywhere.
