Elastic is seeking a Data Engineer to join the marketing analytics team. This role will help the larger marketing organization make data-driven decisions across all activities.

What You Will Be Doing: 
  • Build and develop new capabilities with Elastic to provide analytical insight and streamlined operations and reporting
  • Lead, maintain, and extend existing Elastic-based analytics tooling ES/Kibana/Logstash 
  • Partner closely with marketing, product, and engineering teams
  • Working with and learning all Elastic products
What You Bring Along:
  • Excellent mathematical capabilities with an educational background in a meaningful discipline such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving
  • Sharp attention to detail and a knack for ensuring quality
  • Knowledge, interest and a real passion for topics in data visualizations, statistics, machine learning, data analytics
  • 3+ years of industry experience in Javascript and Python
  • Ready to be part of a distributed team; ambitious, can work independently as well as with a tight-knit team and possess interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Elasticsearch
  • Strong preference for open source experience
Bonus Points:
  • Experience with data-driven documents (D3.js) or Vega with Canvas
  • Experience with R and development of Shiny applications
  • Experience with ETL workflows for applications like Salesforce, Google Analytics, and Marketo
