We're looking for Channel Account Managers to lead the channel/partner strategy in their particular region. Responsibilities will include working with existing partners to drive customer success/improvement as well the recruitment of new partners. We are looking for Channel Account Managers in GitHub’s East & West geographical selling markets. The role will report to the Regional VP of Sales.
Territory Development. Develop plans and resource requirements to execute the regional go-to-market channel strategies. Build and execute business plans with regional partners that align with regional revenue objectives. Identify, qualify, develop and drive regional partnerships with system integrators, VARs, Distributors, consultants, carriers, industry influencers and other channel and marketing partners.
Program Development. Coordinate with the Global Channel Program team to develop and execute sales channel programs in the field and manage communication across the regional community.
Risk Management. Identify risk and be decisive to ensure any risk is mitigated. Be a disciplined business manager, develop a culture of accountability and set up strong operational standards.
Network building. Build a solid network at GitHub and within our partner network. Work cross-functionally with technical product management, engineering, support, technical sales, professional services, channel and marketing teams to demonstrate the value of GitHub and, in turn, help our partners and GitHub sales.
Manage by influence. Be a consensus builder inside GitHub and externally to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
Understand GitHub products and solutions. Understand how we enable customers to be successful with our products and services to help them be innovation leaders. Help educate our partner community about the value GitHub provides to end customers and the ROI it can bring to the partner’s business. Work programmatically with prospect partners and existing partners on a set of metrics to show them how to improve their business by properly using GitHub products and services.
Effective communicator and presenter. Present strategic ideas to small/large groups and work off script and answer questions and challenges in live settings with key partners.
